THE BRAHMAKAMAL
Ever wondered if the flowers described in the myths are real, then the myths might be real too ??
Saussurea Oblavata ( Scientific name ) is usually found in the Lower Himalayas (though this one bloomed at my home). This flower blooms only for a night in a year. It has a shimmering white color, though head petals may be pink or blue. It has various medicinal and culinary uses, but I doubt that the sheer magnificence of watching your year-long pruning bloom would make you use it for some other purpose.
